Faecal Multiplex PCR + CDSA Level 5

CDSA Level 5 includes the Macroscopy, Microscopy, Bacteriology, Mycology and 3 Day Parasitology. This test reports on pathogenic and imbalanced colonizing organisms in the gut, as well as beneficial flora. Like the CDSA Level 4, this test is performed over 3 days in order to increase likelihood of parasitic identification.

Faecal Multiplex Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR) Test helps to identify targeted pathogens. This testing can identify significantly smaller samples of pathogen fragments. This test can drastically increase the identification of harder to detect and less common pathogens such as: Dientamoeba fragilis, Enterovirus, Rotavirus A & B, Giardia and Entamoeba to name a few. However helminth infections are not detected by Faecal PCR testing.
